Holiday makeup tips

‘Tis the season to be glitz-a-fied without looking shinier than a Christmas ornament….
One of the biggest mistakes that women make over the holiday season is applying too much glitter or metallic shine to their eyes for the holidays. Here are some ways to perfect your holiday glow:

-Shimmer shadow on the inner corners of your eyes
-You could do a soft eye with a bold lip (Dalton Mix and match Lip Wardrobe or 4 piece lipgloss set)

-Smokey eye with a pale pink lip
-You never want to be heavy in all three focus’s of the face- lips, eyes, cheeks.

-Add some bronze to your life (after all some of us have not been exposed to the sun since the end of summer)
There is nothing wrong with adding some glitter to your eye makeup during the holiday season…but you don’t want to overdo it. So the best way to add some glitz to your glam is to add a tiny bit of glitter over top of your eyeliner. That way, you don’t have a ton of glitter all over your face- but you have enough to make an impact.

If you happen to have a metallic eye shadow that you wear for the holidays maybe dab some lightly on top of your lid to give a hint of iridescence. Otherwise, if you do too much- you may end up looking more like you are in costume makeup.
Remember- you want people to notice you first, not your makeup!

Happy Holiday’s to all of our Dalton Dolls!! XOXO

Fall Favorites

Hello Beauties!! Fall is here and I want to share with you my favorite product of the week. It is perfect for making those lips look fuller with just an outline of color, and making them look hydrated and younger with a touch of shine. So…if you can’t guess already, I am talking about one of our fabulous products…Outline and Shine.

If you have always dreamed of having fuller looking lips without getting any type of procedure done…this is the product for you! Outline and Shine is a flesh colored lip liner that you apply to the outer lines on your lips to give the illusion of bigger and fuller lips. This is also great for avoiding any type of smearing or running of the lipstick (which we all have had at some point in time!). Once you have lined the lips, you can apply your lipstick. I suggest using a lip brush to apply the lipstick so that your lipstick follows the exact shape of your lips. Lastly, if you want that touch of hydration and shine, apply the highlighter to the center of your lips.. This is a great trick to add volume and make the lips look hydrated.

I love using this product with our Perfect Palette Lip Wardrobe because it is perfect for FALL!

This Summer's Favorite Accessories

So far this summer has been a blast!  Beaching it up, traveling abroad, and catching up with some long lost friends.  Along the way, I've come across some must haves for this summer... So I thought I would share a few of my little secrets with you.

The first thing I can't live without is nail polish.  I am absolutely loving OPI's My Chihuahua Bites.  It's the perfect red for this summer as it follows the neon trend, but isn't obnoxiously bright.  The second thing on my list of summer necessities would be Sun Block... Can never get enough of this as I am continuously hiding from wrinkles and skin damage.  I prefer Aveeno  SPF for both body and face (positively radiant being my choice for face). Next thing I scooped so far this summer, and have used with almost every outfit, is this amazing BCBG straw clutch.

IN LOVE with the pattern, the colors, the fabric...  I pretty much could talk just about this bag all day, along with the fact that my super fun Kate Spade cat eye sunglasses match the bag perfectly.. BUT I'll move on to a product a wear for every occasion.  Our very own, Nude Lip Wardrobe. I find myself wearing different combinations of the duo at all times.  It gives you the perfect amount of color for the day time... and compliments a dramatic smoky eye for all night time festivities... not to mention is amazingly beneficial to your lips.
Nude Lip Wardrobe- Two Lipsticks, Two Lipglosses
More than a few amazing combinations.

And that's my list!  Until next time dolls....

Berry Lips- Look of the Moment

So I've been attempting to pay more attention to the colors I see women wearing when I'm out, and I'm noticing a lot of ladies wearing a berry lip. I myself love the berry lip (I live in our shade Captive) and think that it compliments all skin tones. Olive, Fair, Medium, Dark.. all look gorgeous in a berry lip color. Day time, night time.. it can be worn at all times, yet it's all how you wear it. For a day berry lip, stay very neutral with the rest of your make up. Fresh face and light eyeliner, with a hint of blush (just a little!) will make this very doable for day time. To take this look into night, I'd add a little more drama with the eyeliner, and a gold/brown/plum shadow palate to the eyes. I'd keep the hint of blush, but add some contour to the face with a bronzer/contouring color.

My lipstick routine: First, and always with any color, I use Outline and Shine. This is a flesh color lipliner that goes OUTSIDE of the lips to create the illusion of larger lips. This also will stop your lipstick from running or smearing (perfecto!). Next, I apply lipstick with a lip brush. This enables me to line the lips and be precise. If I'm going out, I will pop a bit of gloss to the middle of my lips for a little more added volume and drama and I am ready to hit the town.
I encourage everyone to try the berry lip. I know it can be a little intimidating, but I promise it's a game changer.

I AM IN LOVE

SOOO. We just created this new amazing product that I officially can not live without. For all who know or have tried our Line and Crease diffuser... THIS IS EVEN BETTER! It's like a face primer, as in you place it on your entire face pre makeup, but it's so much more that just that! Like the Line and Crease diffuser, this will diminish the look of pores and diffuse lines and wrinkles.. AND ON TOP OF THAT it's jammed pack for of amazing skin invigorating ingredients to hydrate and fight free radicals.. AND anti-aging ingredients to boost collagen growth, improve skin tone, and help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It's feather light and silky smooth, leaves your skin flawless, and completely corrects any imperfections. I have even skin tone, my huge pores are gone, crows feet bye-bye, and to make life even more amazing... I'm pretty sure it's helping my break outs and scarring.

I'm very excited.. I will keep you posted as to when we think it will be launching.. just wanted to let everyone know that the holy grail of makeup has officially been created.. and that if it came with a diamond ring that it could possibly be the love of my life.
